Story: Law firm wanted to create a service that allowed shareholders to record and track company stock tickers to get updates on class action cases and settlements. They needed a website to provide this service through user registered accounts and required help fully fleshing out the user experience.
Levi & Korsinsky, LLP identified a critical gap in the market—a lack of comprehensive tools for shareholders to record and track company stock tickers, receiving timely updates on class action cases and settlements. To address this, the firm embarked on the "Recover Market Losses" website project. The challenge was to design and develop a user-account-centric platform that offered a seamless experience for shareholders, allowing them to register accounts, record stock tickers, and access updates on legal proceedings. The project aimed to fill a vital need in the market while providing an intuitive and engaging user experience.
The primary users of the "Recover Market Losses" website are shareholders seeking information and updates on class action cases related to their investments.
Time was a significant constraint, given the need to swiftly address the market gap and provide shareholders with a valuable tool as competitors in the industry were beginning to create similar websites offering adjacent services. The design had to cater to a diverse audience with varying levels of technological & fraud proficiency (shareholders tend to lean towards older age brackets who have higher income for shareholding than younger brackets but struggle more to understand maneuvering complex online dashboard services), emphasizing user-friendliness and accessibility. The technical constraints of implementing the design within the WordPress platform added an additional layer of consideration.
The approach to the "Recover Market Losses" website project involved a thorough understanding of the target audience and their needs. Collaborative sessions with the project manager and the programming development team provided insights into technical requirements and constraints. The design process encompassed creating a user flow that covered both logged-in and logged-out experiences, with a special focus on a portfolio dashboard for users to record and track stock tickers. Figma was utilized to design desktop, tablet, and mobile screens, ensuring a responsive and cohesive user interface. Iterative feedback loops were employed to refine the design, and a detailed handoff process facilitated a smooth transition to the programming development team for WordPress implementation.
The "Recover Market Losses" website project resulted in a user-friendly and feature-rich platform, addressing the needs of shareholders seeking information on class action cases and settlements. The portfolio dashboard provided a comprehensive tool for users to record and track stock tickers, while the logged-in and logged-out experiences catered to a broad user base including both those willing to make accounts and those who wouldn't. The WordPress-coded website not only met the technical requirements but also reflected a modern and engaging design. The successful collaboration with the project manager and the programming development team ensured a seamless transition from design to development, ultimately delivering a valuable service to shareholders in the form of a user-friendly and accessible website.
