Marketing Assets
Job Context: Full-Time Work (RealDrSeattle)
Project Output: Email Blasts, Coupons, Newsletters, Physical Banners, Digital Posters, Social Media Advertisements, Services Brochures
Collaborated With: UX Copywriter, Project Manager, Social Media Manager, Healthcare Office Manager, Sales Representative, Printing Companies
My Responsibility: Design marketing assets from scratch in Figma & Photoshop. Oversaw that physical assets get printed and distributed, then reported delivery performance. Also managed handoff of a range of assets to the respective employee in charge of deploying the asset.
Story: Healthcare clients needed their products and services marketed on many platforms using many asset formats to reach potential clients/customers to increase sales and/or registrations.
My team lead would email me the asset they needed for the upcoming weeks or months and would ask me to send a draft back for review.
I started out often by sketching and looking up similar items in the asset's corresponding space. So if the team lead needed a skincare brochure made for a client I would look up brochures in skincare made online for an idea of how to begin.
I would then send these graphics/documents back for review and then iterate based off feedback to improve the work towards the needed goals of the project.
Usually because of how much graphic work came in each month I had to make sure I balanced my work time correctly to deliver under the specified goals and not let scheduled project fall behind like they had before I joined the team (I.E monthly themed email blasts).
My process always starts by asking the needs or spec of the asset at hand, defining goals and the asset user/viewer.
Sometimes when doing a new format I rely on early on sketching and wipe-boarding to define a design to go forward with. Most times I refer to online inspiration already in the format and space of the current asset at hand.
I would create files for presentable handoff and once the design was approved I would send it over to the lead for printing with a resource I had found in my research phase of the asset.
The marketing graphic assets were then ordered and used in clinics, online, and in the mail to reach potential clients.
