My Responsibility: Oversee the safe transfer of the old site data from Wordpress to a new hosting platform and deploy a new site redesign in Webflow.

Story: A plastic surgeon office had not updated their company site design in over a decade. The site had good SEO standing and a very large amount of pages that needed to be moved to a modern hosting platform. The site needed complex CMS collections to improve page updating, site/SEO structure, and navigation.

Problem Statement

The "NW Face & Body" plastic surgeon office, a client of RealDrSeattle, faced a substantial challenge with an outdated website that had not seen a design update in 8 years. While maintaining good SEO standing, the site required a complete redesign to align with modern design practices, enhance page updating processes, and improve site structure and navigation. The complexity of the project was heightened by the considerable number of pages, necessitating a meticulous transition from the existing WordPress platform to a new hosting platform while preserving the positive SEO standing.

A critical constraint in this project was the need for a smooth transfer of a significant amount of data from the old WordPress site to a new hosting platform. Maintaining good SEO standing while implementing modern design practices added complexity. The collaboration with various team members required careful coordination to address the unique challenges of a plastic surgeon office's online presence.

The approach to the "NW Face & Body" website redesign involved detailed planning and collaboration. Wireframe sketches and Figma screen designs were crafted to visualize the new design, and Webflow was selected as the platform for its flexibility and advanced CMS features. The responsibility included overseeing the secure transfer of old site data from WordPress to the new hosting platform and deploying the redesigned site in Webflow.

Results

After 2 months of design, revisions, and testing we made the full conversion and move of the website from the Wordpress hosting to Webflow while maintaining the web traffic and not interrupting or dropping google rankings. Over time going on to improve google rankings. The site has increased business call ins from its chat features throughout the site as well utilizing custom chat features and Formilla plugins.
